In 2005, Constellation Energy was once again an industry leader. Amongst energy companies, Constellation Energy garnered top honors, ranking No. 1, and making the list of Fortune’s list of America’s Most Admired Companies. This honor is based on the assessment of several areas, including: innovation, employee talent, financial soundness, management quality, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, long-term investment and quality of products and services. That was not the only award Constellation Energy was recognized for. The winner of the 2005 Edison Award, the electric power industry’s highest honor, Constellation Energy was lauded for its leadership in the competitive energy marketplace and the successful execution of its competitive business strategy. This award is given to the organization that makes the most outstanding contribution to the advancement of the electric power industry.
Clearly, Mayo A. Shattuck’s leadership had something to do with Constellation Energy’s recent success. An inspiring leader, he has enabled Constellation Energy to stay true to its core values and provide top performance in the areas of speed, accountability, passion for excellence and creation of value as benchmarks for results as it seeks to make a place as a truly visionary company.
With this understanding of Constellation Energy as an organization, led by Mayo A. Shattuck as its Chairman/CEO, we can fully expect the Fourth Constellation Energy Classic to be as fun and successful as the first three. The Classic began Monday, September 11, and will end on Sunday, September 17.
